Quick fix for Snow Mold

Now that the snow is starting to melt (finally) you may notice a spider-web type substance on your grass. This is called snow mold. This webby mold can be pink or gray, and it looks nasty, but don't worry because it's not difficult to get rid of.

Lawn experts recommend using a hand rake to clear the snow mold off of your turf. After raking the turf clean, you can fluff up the grass a little bit to help it dry more quickly. You shouldn't have to use any chemical treatments at all, just wait for the warm summer sunshine to help the grass grow lush and green again.

Any bare patches left on your lawn can be taken care of with seed or sod this spring.
